Indra Lusero, J.D., M.A.

I got involved in this group because of my New York City-based work with National Advocates for Pregnant Women. Through that work I was hearing from several New York providers and advocates who were responding to the impact of the pandemic on perinatal care in New York City. It was clear that resources and strategies were needed across the board. I wanted to bring folks together for mutual support and strategizing. I am particularly interested in these issues as a birth justice matter, and I am exited to lend my expertise with regulatory law, liability, and midwifery defense to the conversation, along with my NYC-outsider perspective.
